This week's New York Times Bestsellers (November 30th)

In hardcover:

Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson's Towers of Midnight is down three positions, ending the week at number 7. For more info about this title: Canada, USA, Europe.

Jim Butcher's Side Jobs: Stories from the Dresden Files is down three spots, finishing the week at number 22. For more info about this title: Canada, USA, Europe.

In paperback:

Patricia Briggs' Wolfsbane is down four positions, ending the week at number 19.

Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson's The Gathering Storm maintains its position at number 20.

Interesting. I don't recall previous WoT books having this kind of longevity before. They seemed to be in and out of the lists pretty fast before. Either misremembering or this is good news for the series.

Adam, New Spring remained for about 14 weeks, if I remember correctly...

So they have been enjoying some longevity of the list for a while now...

It would be interesting to get the numbers for their first week, to see how TGS and ToM measure up against KoD and Jordan's other number 1 NYT bestsellers.

Sanderson has said that ToM sold 12% more copies in its first week than TGS. Both books also displaced other bestsellers from the charts: John Grisham for ToM (Grisham in only his second week on sale as well) and Dan Brown for TGS (though the Brown had been on sale for ages).

Interesting to see if this double-whammy convinces Universal to proceed with their WoT film project, or if they'll wait until the last book is out.
